In 1941, creative Cape Ann assigned an 8-year-old native son, Ronald Gilson, the task of recording Gloucester waterfront and fishing industry history from the late 1930s to the early 1970s. Class of 1942
Gloucester High School and St. Ann School's Classes of 1942 will celebrate their 65th anniversary with a luncheon at the Gloucester House restaurant Friday, Aug. 31. Letters are in the mail and questions can be answered by calling Elsie at 978-283-3073, Doris at 978-283-3635 or Winnie at 978-283-6592. Anyone that started with the class is welcome to attend.

Airman Meldion Shehu, a 2006 graduate of Gloucester High School has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
