GLOUCESTER — Edward T. Hendrickson, 90, husband of the late Mary (Favalora) Hendrickson, of Gloucester, died peacefully on Monday morning, Nov. 17, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Gloucester in 1918, son of the late John and Mary (Hall) Hendrickson.
Mr. Hendrickson was a graduate of Gloucester High School. He later served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a fireman aboard the USS Lardner.
Mr. Hendrickson had worked as a machinist for United Shoe in Beverly for 25 years. He then went to work at Gloucester Engineering for over 10 years before retiring.
Mr. Hendrickson was a long-time member of the Capt. Lester S. Wass Post No. 3 Gloucester American Legion. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards with his buddies at the Legion and gardening in his yard.
He is survived by his three children, Laurie Hendrickson of Gloucester, John Hendrickson and wife Roxann of Hawaii, Ted Hendrickson and wife Wren of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Alexa Hendrickson, Max Hendrickson and Cole Hendrickson.
